Fanadise to Integrate Chainlink VRF for Provably Fair Randomness in its NFT Packs and Giveaways
We are excited to announce that Fanadise will integrate Chainlink VRF on Binance Smart Chain to access verifiably tamper-proof and unpredictable random numbers within its platform. By integrating the industry leading source of randomness for smart contracts, users have cryptographically verified assurances that the rarity they receive when minting NFTs is truly random and that winners are selected fairly and unbiasedly in community giveaways and draws.

Fandise will soon also support NFT giveaways, drawings, and NFT packs, which is why we’re happy to integrate Chainlink VRF as our randomness provider.
We selected Chainlink because traditional randomness solutions are insufficient and can introduce security vulnerabilities. For example, using the on-chain blockhash can result in manipulation by blockchain miners/validators, while off-chain RNG data providers are opaque and provide no proof that the random numbers are indeed random.
To solve this, Chainlink VRF combines block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Fanadise smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be valid if the process is tamper-proof. This provides Fanadise users with automated and publicly verifiable assurances directly on-chain that each piece of randomness is provably fair and cannot be tampered with or predicted by the oracle, outside entities, or the Fanadise team.
